At Lawley Primary School, public speaking is more than just a skill — it’s a platform for learners to build confidence, critical thinking, and clear communication. The program runs mainly during Term 1 and Term 2, when learners prepare for internal presentations, interschool competitions, and cluster-level events.

Through this activity, learners are taught how to express themselves effectively, structure their thoughts, and speak with clarity and conviction. Topics are age-appropriate and often tied to themes that promote awareness, leadership, and academic growth.

Public speaking opportunities include school assemblies, debates, and public speaking festivals at both cluster and district levels, where our learners proudly represent the school.

The program encourages learners to develop poise under pressure, a respectful exchange of ideas, and strong interpersonal skills — all essential for their future success.
