At Lawley Primary School, athletics plays a vital role in promoting fitness, teamwork, and a strong competitive spirit among our learners. The athletics program is especially active in Term 1, which is the official athletics season in most primary schools.

During this time, learners train and compete in a variety of events including sprints, long-distance races, relays, long jump, and high jump. Our school hosts internal trials and participates in cluster, zone, and district athletics meetings, giving learners the opportunity to showcase their talents on bigger stages.

Athletics not only helps improve physical health but also teaches discipline, goal-setting, and perseverance. It fosters school pride and encourages learners to support one another as they strive for personal bests.
